Tag X 3

How To Play This Game of Tag: Post these rules on your blog.
List: 3 joys, 3 fears, 3 goals, 3 current obsessions/collections, 3 random surprising facts about yourself.
Tag 3 people at the end of your post by leaving their names.

3 Joys:
1. My children, especially when they're sleeping.
2. My hubby.
3. Taking a bath.

3 Fears:
1. The gas prices!
2. The housing market!
3. A natural disaster will hit and we won't have enough food storage or money to save ourselves!

3 Goals:
1. Stay within our budget.
2. Catch up on scrapbooking.
3. Fold my laundry.

3 current obsessions:
1. Food storage.
2. Buying clothes for my children
3. Watching for our stimulus check to get deposited!

3 Random Suprising Facts About Yourself:
1. My personality is just like my Dad's. The older I get, the more I'm discovering this fact.
2. This may not suprise those who know me very well, but for those of you looking for someone to report to child social services... I sleep in until about 9 in the AM while Hannah entertains herself for an hour and a half! I know, I'm terrible. And I wonder why in the world she makes such messes.
3. My older sister, Lisa, used to HATE it when we were kids and I would pick out the same things as her, or wear the same clothes. Well, we are now mature adults and have grown to accept this disturbing past time. We live 2,000 miles away from each other and see each other about once a year. "The suprising fact?" you might ask. Lisa and I still buy the same clothes and pick out the same things. We discovered this at our family reunion a month ago when I walked out wearing my new shoes and she laughed and said "I just bought those same shoes!" We do it all of the time and see our same wardrobe in each other's pictures. Weird.

A New Job

I have started working in the evenings and on weekends at Bozeman Deaconess Hospital here in town. I work at the ER registration desk. It is a great part time job. There are lots of different people to talk to and it gives me my much needed adult time. Already in two weeks time I have been yelled at by grumpy nurses and doctors and seen traumas, barfing, broken bones, bloody faces, code 99 (people on the verge of death), people who have been beat up, passed out drunks, and death. There is always something going on and someone to help. I'm excited for the opportunities that I will have while I work here.

Hanging Out at Grandpa & Grandma's House

Here are the first set of pictures from our trip to Colorado Springs. These are pictures throughout the entire week of everyone playing at Grandpa and Grandma's house. Everyone took LOTS and LOTS of pictures so we have lots of memories saved.

6 Months Old!

Jacob is SIX MONTHS OLD today! We had his check up today. Jacob weighed in at 18 pounds 10 oz and is 25 3/4" long. This puts him at 25th percentile for height and 75th for weight! We are very proud of our happy and chubby little guy. He also had his shots today and was NOT very happy, I mean, who would be? Really?

Jacob has accomplished sitting up and is great at playing with toys all by himself now. He is sleeping through the night and takes 2-3 naps a day. His biggest source of entertainment is his big sister, Hannah. All she has to do is walk in the room and he's smiling and laughing at her. Jacob is so very happy and we are so glad that we get to have him in our family.

Teton Dam Marathon

For the past three months, Brent and I have been training to run in the relay for the Teton Dam Marathon on June 14, 2008. We have enjoyed being able to train together. This past weekend was the marathon and we did great! Brandon, Zach, Crystal and Becky from the Luke family ran with us. We finished at 4 hours and 14 minutes and felt great about each of our performances.

This was a fun experience and gave me even more respect for those who actually accomplish the full marathon. I was amazed at the people who, at 23 miles along, looked as though it was a breeze to run that long and they were having lots of fun! We saw people getting IV's, others were throwing up, and still more people looked like they were about to pass out as they passed the finish line. Overall, we had a fabulous day. Thanks Brandon, Becky, Crystal & Zach for accomplishing the Dam Marathon with us!

Family Vacation Time!

We have been having a blast traveling for the past two weeks. We have driven all over the country and seen lots of family and friends. We will be getting home on Sunday, June 8th, at which point I will hopefully have some time to update the blog and tell you about our trip. Just thought we'd let you know where we are and that I really do have a good excuse this time!
