Tuckered Out

Brent took Hannah for a walk before dinner the other day and she zonked out. Hannah is usually talking non-stop, literally. She just gets so excited about life that she has to tell you EVERYTHING and thinks that every little thing is important and that you are as excited about it as she is. Well, Brent was walking and Hannah suddenly got very quiet and said "I don't want to talk anymore Dad. I'm tired."

Shapes

One of Hannah's new favorite things is to find shapes in her food. "Look Mom! A buh-fy!" She makes lots of moons with things like bread and apples. She will also frequently look out the window of the car and find shapes as well. She is very smart and finds things that I wouldn't even think to notice.

The Easter Dress

This is Hannah's new "cheese." I can't get her to smile any other way. These are also the best pictures that I could get considering that all she wanted to do was twirl and dance around the house in her dress for two hours before church.

Hannah insisted on a behind picture as well.

Easter Morning

Hannah just LOVES to check out the house in the morning before coming in to get Mom & Dad. Easter morning was especially fun since the Easter Bunny had dropped off baskets and eggs all around the house. Hannah came into our bedroom to wake us up with her new headband on and eating jelly beans.

Hannah searching the house for eggs (candy).

Here's the candy loot! She didn't want to put the hard boiled eggs in her basket for some reason, only the plastic candy filled ones.

Easter Eggs

We colored Easter Eggs on Saturday morning with Nate and Karlee, a dad and daughter from our ward. Karlee was very patient with Hannah and did a great job letting her help.

How's this for an Easter Egg hunt in the snow? This is Bozeman for you. Hannah still had a great time even though her feet were wet and cold.

WALL-E

The new Pixar move WALL-E will be coming out on June 27th, 2008. Here is my favorite trailer. I laugh hysterically every time I watch it. If you'd like to see all of the trailers, here is the link. http://www.apple.com/trailers/disney/walle/

New Shoes

I very rarely buy new things for myself. I usually go to the store for the specific purpose of getting something for me and end up with nothing for me and ten things for my kids. Well, I FINALLY did it! I bought myself THREE new pairs of shoes last week. Two of the pairs are the same, one set in black and one brown. I tried on the black ones and like them so I just grabbed the brown ones in the same size box without trying them on. Well, all week long whenever I've worn the brown pair the right one has been super floppy and kind of hard to keep on my foot. I tried adjusting the strap around the back, but it just didn't seem to feel the same as the other shoe. Maybe it is just the fact I'm weird and have one foot is a little bigger than the other one?

I am sitting in church on Sunday, wearing my NEW brown shoes, crossing my legs and could see the inside of my shoe where it shows the number on the heal. It said size 8! What!?! I'm a size 7! I check the other shoe and discover that it is a size 7! How in the world did that happen? Well, silly me, I got my new cute shoes at Wal-mart, my least favorite store EVER. I should have known better and actually checked to see that the shoes were the right size!

Sunday Fun

One of Hannah's favorite things to do on Sunday is getting dressed up for church. Notice the bracelets and the princess "clappy" shoes. She loves it when we get there and people "ooh" and "ah" over her. What better way to check yourself out than by climbing up on the toilet and leaning over the counter to get just a small glimpse of yourself? You could have Mom or Dad lift you up so that you can see, but why when you can do it yourself and hardly see a thing? This is Hannah's way of seeing herself on Sunday mornings after we've gotten her all prissyed up. (She's not picking... it's just an itch.)
Going for Sunday afternoon walks is the best (right after Sunday afternoon naps and Mom's amazing dinner). Here are Hannah and Jacob snuggled up together in our new jogging stroller/bike trailer. Jacob is still too little to strap in, so we just put him in there in the car seat. A little squishy, but it'll work for a little while.

Murdock's

Hannah and Mom got to go to the local Murdock's store and see rabbits and baby chicks. We went with some of our friends and had lots of fun seeing the cute animals.

"Playing" with Jacob

Hannah likes to "play" with Jacob by letting him hold her toys for her when she's busy with something else. Today I had Hannah "help" me vacuum and she promptly gave Harmony Bear and Blankie to Jacob to hold for her.
After vacuuming for a while she realized that Wish Bear was missing and retrieved him for Jacob to guard as well. The interesting part of this is when he actually starts to play with them. We'll have an entirely different story on our hands at that point.
I wonder how long it will take her not to like this chore?

Piggies

Hannah desperately wanted piggies in the back today, which we haven't tried because I love her curls. They turned out so cute that we may have to do them more often!
Here are Hannah's cute Piggies from the back. They look like firecrackers!
Hannah's new fashion statement is dresses. She asks to wear one every day even if it's snowing outside.
Wish Bear and Harmony Bear, whom she has to sleep with every nap and at night.

Hannah loves to sing the ABC's a few times per day. She can do the entire thing with out help on occasion too. This post is dedicated to Hannah because she doesn't get enough attention.

Happy Boy

Is there anything more joyful than having a baby smile and coo at you? Well, there may be a few things out there, but not many. Jacob is 11 1/2 weeks old and is such a joy to have around. We all ready have lots of nicknames for him too. We like to call him such things as "Pooper Man," "Tooter Boy," and "Starvin' Marvin."
Notice poor Hannah in the background vying for our attention. We sure are trying to help her feel loved. It seems that no matter how hard we try, it just isn't enough.

Ready for Bed

Hannah and Jacob ready for bed. Two cute kids.
Here is Jacob last week before he got sick. While he has been sick he has only been eating about half of what he usually eats. So, as you can tell from the last post, it looks like he may have lost a little of the chub.

Fun in the Morning

Hannah has recently discovered that her mother is a VERY hard sleeper. So, she will wake up and just accidentally not come to get me. Yesterday morning she had gotten into an entire tube of diaper rash ointment and spread is around the entire house and all over herself. While I was feeding Jacob yesterday, Hannah also got into the sprinkles which were stored in the office and spilled them around the entire room and all over the carpet.

So, today I woke up to Hannah on a chair digging through the top drawer of the dresser in her room, which has more diaper rash ointment, lotion, etc. (all of the things that she's not supposed to have). I then walked out to the kitchen to find that Hannah had dumped 1/2 jar of baby formula (Enfamil aka. liquid gold) onto the floor. She had obviously enjoyed her time alone since most of the candy in the candy jar is gone as well. If anyone has any pointers for me on how to prevent these extremely disturbing events, PLEASE let me know!

Here is video of the formula mess and some of Jacob talking. Jacob is 11 weeks old today! Time sure does fly when you're too tired to think about it. Jacob is getting very interactive and fun. He loves to talk to us and has an adorable smile.
