Mystery of Life #1

The Mystery: What to do when I wake up with my head stuck under my bed at 5 o'clock in the morning.

Solution: Cry hysterically until someone (MOM) comes to my rescue.

The Carson & Barnes Circus

We got to go to the Carson & Barnes circus here in Bozeman a couple of weeks ago. We invited our friends Heather and Jack to come with us and we all had a GREAT time. I was the only one who had been to a circus before, so we were all thoroughly entertained. The performers were amazing and we were not above adding our "OOoh"'s and "AAaaahh"'s to the crowd.

Here is Hannah looking at the animals at the petting zoo.

Heather and Jack with a llama.

Hannah LOVES Heather and wanted to sit by her the entire time. We certainly don't mind... we LOVE Heather too! Here is Hannah, Heather and Jack.

Jacob, Cami & Brent. Jacob and Jack had a great time with all of the lights and animals to watch.

This Is How We Enjoy Soccer Class

We start out class by Hannah participating a little, kicking the ball around, etc.

This is how Jacob enjoys soccer class.

Hannah decides something is wrong (We don't know what. It may be that it's too hard, or that she's just craving the attention.) and she doesn't want to play anymore. Here it is... the floppy mope. Hannah puts her head down, slumps her shoulders and flops her arms.

She'll wander around the field moping or come and sit by Jacob.

"Look how much fun the other kids are having! They get to wear silly hats and kick the ball!" Flop...Mope...

So, this is how we enjoy soccer class.

Sweet Pea Festival Fun Run

Brent took the kids to the Sweet Pea Festival Fun Run on Saturday morning, August 2nd. I had to work and didn't get to enjoy the fun. It was a 1K run and Hannah walked and ran most of it while Jacob enjoyed the view from inside the stroller. What a fun way to enjoy a beautiful Saturday morning.

Hannah and Jacob before the race.

Hannah received a ribbon with a certificate to McDonald's and a pass to the swim center. Jacob received a free fun-run t-shirt.

Conquering the Potty

Hannah has done it! She has conquered the potty. She's been going in the potty for months, but didn't want to give up the security of the diaper. I finally took the diapers away last week. Hannah had a brief melt down and then decided that big girl underwear is ok. Our amazing friend, Heather, even bought Hannah some princess underwear, which has been thoroughly exciting.

Hannah's incentive for potty training was this wedding dress. She has been waiting to wear it for months. You can see how excited she is to finally get it.

Jacob: "Oooo.... That's pretty...."
